Job summary

The University of Tampa invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time, renewable Biology teaching position beginning in August 2027. The successful candidate will teach introductory biology for science majors (General Biology I and II lecture and lab) and science for non-majors, with other courses as assigned.

The position requires teaching 27 contact hours each Fall and Spring, and the candidate will contribute to advising and service within the Department of Biology.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in biology or a closely related field.
• Prior teaching experience with undergraduates is desirable.
• A personal commitment to quality undergraduate teaching, advising, and service to the Department and University is essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach Introductory Biology for science majors (General Biology I & II lecture and lab).
• Teach science for non-majors lecture courses and potentially other courses as assigned.
• Teach 27 contact hours throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.
