Job summary

UW-River Falls is seeking an Instructional Designer to help educators thrive in digital accessibility, AI, and evolving instructional methods. The role collaborates with CETL staff to develop evidence-based curricula and programs and to train on effective online delivery across all modalities.

The successful candidate will work within Academic Affairs to advance teaching and learning initiatives and will infuse equity and universal design into development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with instructional software, LMS/digital learning environments, and online course delivery methods.
• Experience designing and delivering educational development.
• Knowledge of AI and its impact on higher education.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver educational development programs and Canvas-based courses.
• Provide training for online teaching and digital delivery across modalities.
• Consult with departments to apply pedagogy and learning technology.
• Identify interventions promoting evidence-based teaching across modalities.
• Stay current on AI, digital accessibility, and equitable design.
