Job summary

The University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning seeks an Instructional Designer II to contribute to course development and production for adult learners at the Main Campus in Gainesville, FL.

The position collaborates with Subject Matter Experts, aligns content with learning objectives, produces instructional assets, and supports video/interactive media across projects. A Master’s with experience or a Bachelor’s with broader experience is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of relevant experience.
• Strong editing and instructional design skills; experience with adult learning, professional development, and online learning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to align content with learning objectives.
• Review content and apply adult learning theories to improve content presentation for the target audience.
• Produce documentation such as scripts, storyboards, production notes, transcripts, and supporting resources.
• Assist in pre-production, production, and post-production of videos and other assets for courses.
