Job summary

Texas A&M University - Texarkana is seeking an Instructional Designer II to partner with faculty in designing and delivering high-quality digital education content. You will guide course redesign, select technologies, and support faculty in adopting best practices for online learning.

The role requires experience in instructional design, LMS expertise including Canvas, and a commitment to universal design and WCAG standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of related experience in instructional design.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Knowledge of online course design principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support faculty in developing online courses using learning technologies.
• Support course redesign for effective digital education.
• Identify and implement technologies that advance program goals.
• Collaborate with LMS administrator to refine digital education processes.
• Provide faculty, staff, and student training resources and guides.
• Experiment with new technologies to enhance digital education.
• Provide technical support for LMS (Canvas) and related teaching tools.
