Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to partner with faculty and subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver online and hybrid courses that meet learning objectives and competencies. The role emphasizes collaboration, quality service, and meeting deadlines.

You will apply ADDIE, SAM and backward design, build engaging multimedia content, and ensure accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of three years of instructional design experience in higher education.
• Experience with ADDIE, SAM, backward design and e-learning.
• Portfolio required.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of ADA guidelines and instructional design theory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with SMEs to create learning objectives and course outlines.
• Identifies tools and materials to deliver engaging online/hybrid courses.
• Suggests assessments aligned with objectives and competencies.
• Integrates learning outcomes into instructional content and courses.
• Ensures course quality per OSCQR rubric and ADA guidelines.
• Manages multiple development projects and coordinates production.
• Develops multimedia content as needed.
• Keeps up with trends in emerging technologies.
