Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking an Instructional Designer to design and develop technology-based learning modules and paper materials, partnering with physicians and stakeholders to assess learning needs. You will lead the development lifecycle using ADDIE, help manage LMS activities, and deliver scalable training for the Developing Brain department.

The role emphasizes collaboration, instructional design expertise, and the creation of engaging learning experiences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education or related field required.
  • 5 years instructional design experience including full project lifecycle (assessment, strategy, design, programming, testing & launch).
  • Experience designing technology-based learning modules and paper-based instructional materials.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and ADDIE recommended.
  • Experience with LMS administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend technology-based learning solutions by consulting with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Design, develop and implement enterprise-level technology-based training solutions across LMS and mobile devices.
  • Manage project plans, resources, data collection, interfaces, training, testing and software documentation.
  • Distribute resources, manage priorities and ensure quality, cost and schedule control.
  • Evaluate program initiatives for effectiveness, feasibility and ROI.
