Job description

Description
Build something that matters

Most L&D jobs ask you to maintain someone else's program. This one asks you to start one.

Envision Unlimited supports people with developmental disabilities, and the staff who show up for them every day deserve great learning. Our training function is early in its growth, which means the calendar, the programs, and the way we measure success are still being shaped. You'll be a major part of shaping them.

You'll work alongside our Training and Development Specialist as a true collaborator on facilitation, and you'll own your own design work. You'll have room to try new formats, use AI and emerging tools, and show what modern workplace learning can look like in a mission-driven organization. You'll report to the Chief of HR, who wants a self-starter and will give you trust and room to run.

What you'll do
  • Design original training, including curricula, e-learning, facilitator guides, and job aids, that people actually want to complete
  • Facilitate engaging sessions in person and virtually for new hires, staff, and supervisors
  • Build the foundations of a growing function: scheduling, tracking, and reporting
  • Create simulations and scenario-based experiences that let people practice, not just listen
  • Experiment with AI and new technology to make learning faster, more personal, and more effective
  • Prove it works by measuring whether training changes what happens on the job, then improving it
  • Coach and partner with employees and leaders, becoming someone people trust and seek out
Who thrives here

You're the kind of person who:

  • Sees a blank page as an opportunity, not a problem
  • Gets people energized in a room, on a screen, or in a one-on-one conversation
  • Works independently, sets your own priorities, and doesn't wait to be told what's next
  • Is curious, adaptable, and confident enough to pivot quickly and guide others through change
  • Is already using AI tools in your work and wants to go further
  • Builds learning for people at every stage of their career, from first-day hires to seasoned leaders
  • Cares about the people behind the work
Requirements
What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, HR, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years designing instructional content (e-learning, instructor-led, or blended), backed by a portfolio. 3+ years with a master's degree or relevant certification and outstanding work samples will also be considered.
  • 5+ years facilitating adult learners, in person or virtually
  • Experience building e-learning with tools like Articulate or Camtasia
  • Experience measuring and reporting on training results
  • Excellent communication, written and spoken
  • Bonus: nonprofit or human services experience, or turning compliance and policy into clear, engaging learning
What we offer
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield Medical Coverage: HMO, PPO
  • Dental and Vision Insurance Options
  • Company paid Life and LTD Insurance
  • Voluntary plans (Pet insurance, AD&D, Life, Critical Illness, Short Term Disability)
  • 11 Paid Holidays
  • Paid vacation, sick time and personal days
  • 403B plan
  • In house training and CEU's
  • Employee Assistance Network
  • Support for pursuing clinical licensure (financial and time off)
  • Opportunity for career growth & development
  • And so much more!
