Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer in Washington for full-time work in our Learning and Development department.

You will design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions to empower employees in current and future roles. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to outline storyboards and create engaging e-learning modules, training videos, and interactive content.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and delivering instructional materials for corporate or adult learning environments.
  • Ability to create learner-centric content that maximizes engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Familiarity with live instruction formats (in-person or virtual).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and objectives.
  • Outline, storyboard, and deliver engaging instructional materials, including e-learning modules and training videos.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements, graphics, and interactive components to enhance learning.
  • Adapt and repurpose existing content to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Conduct assessments to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
