Note:

  • Work Location: Remote- Individual works from home or off-site and is located outside of a routinely commutable distance from the Lexington facility.
  • Clearance: Interim clearance sufficient to start.
  • Interview Process: Initial zoom/phone interview with hiring manager. If candidate advances to next round, will be a larger group interview with additional members from the team.

Description:

The Client Supercomputing Center (LLSC) team is a world leader in interactive supercomputing, artificial intelligence, and big data technologies. Our team analyzes, architects, builds, and transitions technology, algorithms, and systems to thousands of brilliant Client researchers. We develop leading-edge, high-performance solutions to satisfy the Nation's most difficult problems. Our supercomputing team is completely vertically integrated, and we innovate at every level of the supercomputing stack from reducing the environmental impact of our systems with innovative data center technologies to collaborating with world-class cyber security experts to make our systems more resilient as well as developing revolutionary algorithms and programming environments to make supercomputing easy for AI and ML researchers. Our researchers publish extensively both independently and in collaboration with our users.

Our team runs the largest computing conference in New England where our researchers share their research with supercomputing peers and work closely with other laboratories and departments at Client including CSAIL, LIDS, EAPS, IDSS, Mathematics, and ORCD. We are also leading contributors to the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (the largest and greenest open research data center in the World) and the Client Laboratory Beaver Works.

We are actively seeking a highly motivated, resourceful, and creative individual to take an active role in building awareness of our scalable research facilitation capabilities. The position requires a person who is able to work both independently and cooperatively within a team, prioritize effectively, and reliably manage multiple concurrent tasks. An ideal candidate is committed to tackling new projects with creativity and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities:

  • -Synthesize and distill complex scientific and technical information to create clear content and documentation for a broad audience.
  • -Support the LLSC's e-learning projects by building components for the online courses as well as proofreading and editing new content.
  • -Review documentation and training materials and proactively identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • -Manage coordination of LLSC events for the userbase, e.g. monthly Lunch-n-Learn.

Required Skills:

  • -Bachelor’s degree required in STEM field
  • -Experience with instructional design, training and willingness to bring innovative ideas to course development
  • -Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • -Good working knowledge of and/or the ability to master web content tools such as Wordpress, Drupal, Github, HTML, Markdown, and Open edX.
  • -Willingness to learn new software and content delivery tools.
