Job summary

Axiom Technology Group in San Jose, CA is seeking an Instructional Designer to design and deliver role-based learning curricula and training plans aligned to program milestones. You will collaborate with Change Managers, PMs, SMEs, and stakeholders to translate complex processes into learner-friendly content across personas and audiences.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct training needs assessments and build persona-based curricula aligned to outcomes.
• Designing and developing enterprise-scale learning solutions for business process, technology, or digital transformation programs.
• Creating on-demand content in Adobe Captivate, Articulate Rise, Storyline, or equivalent tools.
• Developing instructor-led, vILT, and self-paced learning experiences using PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video tools.
• Creating simulations, scenario-based learning, and interactive practice environments.

• Support training delivery activities including facilitator prep, learner communications, and readiness activities.
• Ensure content remains current as requirements evolve throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to governance, content reviews, and scalable learning solutions.

What you'll Do

• Collaborate with Change Managers, Program Managers, Product Managers, SMEs, and business stakeholders to assess persona-based training needs and identify required knowledge, skills, and behavior changes.
• Design, develop, and maintain role-based learning curricula, learning journeys, and training plans aligned to program milestones and deployment waves.
• Translate complex business processes, system functionality, and policy requirements into learner-friendly content tailored for different personas and audiences
• Create engaging training deliverables including eLearning modules, simulations, job aids, quick reference guides, videos, process overviews, knowledge checks, and virtual instructor-led training (vILT) materials.
• Partner with SMEs and business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate content accuracy, and incorporate business-relevant use cases and scenarios into learning materials
• Support training delivery activities including facilitator preparation, learner communications, office hours, knowledge transfer sessions, and training readiness activities.
• Ensure learning content remains current as program requirements, designs, and business processes evolve throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to training governance, content review cycles, and content management processes to support high-quality and scalable learning solutions

What you need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience with the following:
  • Conducting training needs assessments and building persona-based curricula aligned to business outcomes and adoption goals.
  • Designing and developing enterprise-scale learning solutions for business process, technology, or digital transformation programs.
  • Creating on-demand learning content in platforms such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Rise, Storyline, or equivalent eLearning tools.
  • Developing instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and self-paced learning experiences utilizing a variety of tools including PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Creative Cloud, and video production tools.
  • Creating simulations, scenario-based learning, and interactive practice environments.
• Strong ability to translate complex processes, systems, and technical concepts into clear, engaging, and role-relevant learning experiences.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across program teams, business functions, leadership, SMEs, and external partners.
• Flexibility, resourcefulness, and resilience in fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environments with evolving requirements, competing priorities, and global stakeholder groups.
• Strong visual communication and instructional storytelling skills, including creating diagrams, process visualizations, infographics, and learner-focused content.
• Nice to Have: Experience supporting procurement, source-to-pay, finance, ERP, or enterprise transformation programs; Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and training reporting; Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, Premiere Pro.
