Job summary

Brivo is seeking an Instructional Designer to create and maintain training content for customers and employees in Bethesda, MD. You will drive ADDIE-based development, collaborate with SMEs, and produce engaging e-learning, videos, and microlearning using Articulate Rise/Storyline and Camtasia.

Strong writing and editing skills, time management, and attention to detail are essential. You will manage LMS content, leverage AI for content development, and work with the T&E team to deliver

  • Ability to translate complex concepts and data into visually appealing, easily digestible content required.
  • Proven experience in delivering multi-modal trainings, detailed course design documents, implementation strategies, and program evaluations required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in related field required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the ADDIE course creation lifecycle for e-learning content, collaborating with SMEs and teams to determine needs and create content.
  • Partner with teams to ensure content is technically accurate and relevant.
  • Create detailed storyboards and develop engaging learning content (e-learning, videos, microlearning) using authoring tools.
  • Create objective-aligned knowledge checks to measure learner application.
  • Review and update content using learner feedback and product launch details.
  • Launch and manage content in the LMS.
  • Provide regular updates to and maintenance of existing courses.
  • Utilize AI to write clear content, stories and use cases for immersive e-learning.
  • Research trends and adapt to new features/tools to keep programs modern and effective.
  • Work independently and with strong communication to meet quarterly objectives and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the T&E team to organize content within shared workspaces.
  • Utilize Generative AI tools to scale content creation (scripts, use cases, course summaries, assessments).
  • Support additional team initiatives as needed.

Description

As Instructional Designer, you will create and maintain training content for Brivo’s customers and employees. You will assist in the assessment of training needs, and create learning content that supports business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the entire ADDIE course creation lifecycle for e-learning content:
    • Collaborate closely with the Instructional Design team and with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across different departments to determine needs and create content
    • Partner with other teams to ensure content is technically accurate and relevant
    • Create detailed and clear storyboards utilizing AI tools
    • Design and develop engaging learning content (e-learning, instructional videos, microlearning) using various authoring tools
    • Create objective-aligned knowledge checks to measure learner ability to apply key concepts
    • Iteratively review and update content in a timely manner using learner feedback and product launch details
    • Launch and manage content in our learning management system (LMS)
  • Provide regular updates to and maintenance of existing courses
  • Utilize AI to write clear content, including stories and use cases, used to create immersive e-learning experiences
  • Proactively research and adapt to trends, quickly learning new features and tools to ensure learning programs remain modern and effective
  • Work independently and with outstanding communication skills to set and meet quarterly objectives and deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Training & Enablement (T&E) team to organize content within shared workspaces
  • Utilize Generative AI tools to scale content creation, enhancing everything from scriptwriting and use-case development to course summaries and assessments
  • Support additional team initiatives as needed, in a helpful spirit of collaboration

About You

Compensation for this full-time position ranges from $80,000 to $96,000 USD. Individual compensation packages are based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions.
