Job summary

Catena Solutions is partnering with a leading global retailer to identify an Instructional Designer for a 6-month, 40-hour/week W2 contract supporting the eCommerce Marketplace Logistics team.

This role transforms complex processes into engaging training, partnering with SMEs to develop content for retail and logistics teams at scale. You will work with Articulate Storyline and Rise, including AI-assisted content development. Experience with LMS and curriculum design is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven instructional design and adult learning experience.
• Knowledge of learning theory models.
• Storyboarding, curriculum development, and content writing.
• Experience with training for business processes, systems, tools, or operations.

We're seeking a creative and strategic learning professional who can transform complex business processes, tools, and workflows into engaging, learner-centered training experiences. This role will partner closely with subject matter experts to develop impactful training content that supports retail and logistics teams at scale.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design and develop engaging learning experiences, courses, and training materials
• Partner with SMEs to identify learning needs and translate content into effective training solutions
• Create storyboards, instructional materials, assessments, videos, simulations, and other learning assets
• Apply proven instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
• Develop content using Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise
• Leverage AI tools to support rapid content development and enhance learning delivery options

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in instructional design and adult learning
• Strong knowledge of instructional design models and learning theories
• Experience with Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise
• Storyboarding, curriculum development, and content writing expertise
• Visual design skills using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar
• Experience creating training content for business processes, systems, tools, or operational workflows
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Experience supporting retail, eCommerce, supply chain, logistics, or operations-focused training programs
