Job summary

Columbus State Community College is seeking an Instructional Designer II in Columbus, OH to lead online course design projects and coordinate instructional design teams. The role involves scripting, storyboarding, and producing digital learning assets with diverse modalities including videos and eBooks.

The candidate will ensure timely, on-budget course development, apply accessibility guidelines, and collaborate with faculty, SMEs, and DEIS staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum, Technology or related field.
• Three years of experience with online learning technologies and multimedia design development.
• State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
• An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate.

Responsibilities

• Manages all processes and tasks related to the design and development of online courses according to the College’s development model.
• Evaluates and assists in the selection and creation of high-quality digital learning assets and eBooks for online learning programs.
• Identifies appropriate DEIS instructional design team for the course and develops complex digital content following faculty design directives, meeting schedule and deadlines.
• Ensures course development is completed on time and within budget and meets standards of quality.
