Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks an instructional coach to model QPTS and guide teachers in applying AKS frameworks, formative and summative assessments, and data-driven decision making. You will lead coaching cycles, plan with leadership, and support literacy and math alignment across grades.

Qualifications

• Five years of teaching experience with impact on student achievement and strong evaluations.
• Evidence of professional growth including leadership and meaningful professional development.

Responsibilities

• Model the implementation of the QPTS and instructional frameworks in classrooms.
• Convene coaching sessions with teachers.
• Support curriculum and instructional development to help teachers understand the AKS, aligned assessments, and data-informed instruction.
• Build strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and instructional staff.
• Provide direction for AKS instruction aligned with initiatives and best practices (QPTS).
• Create and implement an articulated coaching schedule with school leadership.
• Assist teachers in understanding GCPS mission and core values.
• Facilitate planning with collaborative learning teams to analyze AKS and develop assessments.
• Assist teachers with instructional resources and planning tools.
• Support data-driven instruction and use of data to inform next steps.
• Assist in pacing, differentiation, and selection of best practices for diverse learners.
• Model multiple instructional strategies during planning and instruction with teachers.
• Observe teachers informally and provide constructive feedback for growth.
• Develop and implement coaching plans to improve student outcomes using data and goals.
• Apply Adult Learning Theory to motivate professional practice.
• Contribute to systems and structures to improve teaching practice.
• Lead ongoing professional learning and reflective practice per LSPI.
• Submit weekly coaching logs and data requests.
• Attend summer training and administrative meetings.
• Support literacy and mathematics across clusters.
• Monitor coaching effectiveness through student data.
