Job summary

Wellsacademy in Detroit seeks an instructional coach to support the School Leader in elevating instructional quality at the classroom and aggregate levels. You will guide teachers through planning, feedback, and collaboration to boost student achievement.

Responsibilities include observing lessons, sharing best practices, providing resources, and using data to drive professional learning communities. This is a full-time role with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current teaching certificate/license is required.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience with demonstrated success in student outcomes.
• Experience as lead teacher, instructional coach, consultant, or similar role preferred.
• Ability to collect and disaggregate student data to inform instruction and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Develop clear instructional goals with teachers based on standards.
• Observe classrooms, review lesson plans, and provide constructive feedback.
• Share methods and resources to enhance teacher effectiveness.
• Provide timely guidance to improve teaching skills and student outcomes.
• Monitor implementation of instructional processes and classroom learning.
• Coach staff in data-driven planning and professional development.
