Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) is seeking an Instructional Coach for the 2026-2027 school year to support classroom teachers in setting instructional goals and implementing Tier 1 instruction. The role emphasizes data-driven practice, coaching cycles, and collaboration across schools to improve literacy and math outcomes.

We offer a salary range of $79,468-$131,654 annually, a full-time year calendar, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential in the appropriate content area and English Learner certification.
• Outstanding and/or Highly Satisfactory summary teacher evaluations.
• Demonstrated track record of improving student outcomes for focal student groups.
• At least five years of classroom teaching experience with standards-based instruction and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers to set instructional goals and implement comprehensive Tier 1 instruction.
• Support the continued implementation of math and language arts curriculums.
• Coach teachers towards improved student outcomes through formal coaching cycles.
• Provide instructional guidance to classroom teachers, including co-planning and co-teaching lessons and units and modeling lessons.
• Maintain coaching logs to monitor progress of implementation initiatives.
• Facilitate monthly professional development and design learning experiences leveraging data and research.
• Support teacher collaboration through PLCs and grade-level/department meetings.
• Use data to inform instructional decisions and monitor progress of focal student groups.
