Reporting to the Principal, this long-term substitute position emphasizes professional development, planning, and collaboration with the CCS curriculum team during the school year.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree and PA Level II teacher certification in the relevant area(s).
• Instructional Coach PK-12 Endorsement preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience teaching, with evidence of improving student achievement.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in understanding CCS curriculum, assessments, the Framework for Teaching, and data analysis.
• Remain knowledgeable of current research on instructional practices to impact student achievement.
• Provide job-embedded informal professional learning beyond coaching responsibilities.
• Collaborate with principals to ensure CCS curriculum implementation.
• Assist teachers with planning, pacing, differentiation, and best practices.
• Regularly models lessons in classrooms and provides feedback for growth.
• Coordinate and implement PSSAs, Keystones, and AP Exams with SAC and DAC.
• Maintain confidentiality of students’ information, progress and records.
