Job summary

The Gresham-Barlow School District 10J is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support teachers and students. You will help implement instructional programs and provide classroom assistance to students not in targeted programs, while performing essential clerical tasks.

The role requires experience with school-age children and an associates degree or higher. A first aid/CPR card and fingerprint clearance are required, with a commitment to a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with school-age children (paid or volunteer).
• Completed associates or higher degree, or two years of college with demonstrated knowledge to assist in reading, writing, and math.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint, and First Aid/CPR card/clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed teacher with instructional planning and student supervision.
• Provide instructional support and tutoring in small and large groups.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and maintain student files and materials.
• Confer with teachers to provide feedback on student performance and progress.
• Help ensure a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.
