Job summary

Park City School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant - SPED Complex Needs for a part-time role (32 hours/week) during the 178 contract days of the school year in Park City, Utah. The position emphasizes supervising and instructing students with severe special needs and documenting progress.

The role requires a high school diploma and experience with children in educational settings; experience with special needs is desirable.

INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT - SPED COMPLEX NEEDS

One part-time position 32 hours per week for 178 contract days for a full school year

Responsibilities: To provide support to the instructional program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision and instruction of severely special needs students; observing and documenting student progress; implementing plans for instruction; and assisting students by providing for special health care needs. This position requires physical agility - including the ability to run, jump, walk, and stand as well as the capacity to safely implement approved Mandt System physical restraint techniques when necessary to support student safety.

Requirements: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience working with children in an educational or organized learning environment. Experience working with individuals with special needs is desirable.

Salary: Based on the 2025-2026 Education Support Professional Salary Schedule $30.88 per hour starting hourly rate (Salary placement is based on related experience); plus insurance and retirement benefits
