Job summary

Job Summary

The Department of Special Education invites a pool of qualified persons to teach undergraduate courses in one or more of the following areas: introduction to special education; early childhood/early intervention; education of learners with extensive support needs; transition from school to adulthood in special education; class-wide and individualized behavior supports; assistive technology; and bilingual/ESL special education. Positions are non‑tenure‑track, part‑time or full time, and may be filled throughout the 2026‑2027 academic year and summer sessions.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$1,288 per month per 3‑hour course or $1,417 per month per 3‑hour course with terminal degree.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in special education or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a special educator or related field working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Professional Educator License and Special Education Endorsement (LBS1, DHH, TVI) or related license (e.g., SLP, ECE).
  • Oral proficiency in the English language, as mandated by state law.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience instructing at the college level.
  • Doctorate in Special Education or a closely‑related field.
