Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Elementary Instructional Assistant for a 9-month calendar (Calendar 18A) at Sierra Oaks K-8. The role is part-time, 6.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with mornings starting at 7:45 AM.

The position supports students, including those with severe or emotional disturbances, and requires attachments of a high school diploma and either CBEST or IA proficiency results. A valid CA Class C driver license may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must attach your High School Diploma or equivalent and one document from the following list: A or B.
• CBEST passing score required, or IA Proficiency Test.
• Experience with ED programs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support students who are severely emotionally disturbed or have learning or communication handicaps.
• Assist in groups of children and in classrooms as assigned.
• Possess or obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire if required for driving equipment/vehicles.
