Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant III for La Vista Center. The role is part-time, 7 hours per day, with a 7-hour workday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:32 pm, Monday through Friday.

Location is La Vista Center with immediate hire and a closing date of 09/18/2026 at 4:00 PM. The position requires working with students with learning and communicative handicaps, and candidates must meet the posted materials requirements (CBEST, two years of college or AA degree).

Qualifications

• Experience with severe/emotionally disturbed students is preferred.
• Candidate should meet one of: CBEST, two years college, or an AA degree.
• Willingness to obtain CA Class C Driver License if required.

Responsibilities

• Support severe/emotionally disturbed students in classroom settings.
• Assist with instructional activities and behavior support.
• Maintain documentation as required by district policies.
