San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant III for La Vista Center to support students with severe and emotional disturbance. The role runs five days a week during a 7-hour day, with a 206-day calendar and a starting date soon after posting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with severely emotionally disturbed students is desirable.
• Experience working with groups of children and understanding behavior management is helpful.
• Mandatory: provide documentation from option A, B, C or D as listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional programs for ED/SD students.
• Assist in classrooms Monday–Friday during the 7-hour workday.
• Follow district procedures and maintain appropriate student records and communications.
