Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant I/II/III at Rio Americano High School. The position is permanent, part/full time, with a 6.5-hour workday, 9 months/year (Calendar 18B) and a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM. IA III salary range: $20.64–$27.23 per hour.

Responsibilities include supporting severe/emotionally disturbed students in ED or autism programs. Applicants must meet testing/documentation requirements and may need a California Class C

Qualifications

IA III: List on application experience that is relevant to this position in addition to providing the required documentation listed in this vacancy.
Severe/Emotionally Disturbed – working with students who have a Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs.
Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
CBEST or IA Proficiency Test requirement: CBEST passing score or IA Proficiency Test is required.

Responsibilities

Support severe/emotionally disturbed students in ED or autism programs.
Assist with groups of children and classroom activities as needed.
Follow program guidelines and work with teachers to implement behavior plans.
