Job summary

Seymour Community Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant at MR Brown Elementary. This full-time position supports the teacher by working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and help students meet class objectives.

The role reports to the Building Principal and Teacher, and salary/work year will be established by the Board. Experience with children preferred; two-year degree or college credits required.

Qualifications

• Two years of college completed.
• Hold a two year degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist with lunch, snack, and clean-up routines and supervision.
• Supervise during drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct in line with expectations for staff.
