Job summary

Lake Washington School District in Redmond is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to assist teaching staff, support instructional tasks, and help maintain an orderly classroom to foster a positive learning environment. This role may be assigned to classroom, lunchroom, library, before or after school programs, or office, with elementary duties including crossing guard and playground supervision.

THIS POSITION WILL BE WORKING IN THE DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM. ABILITY TO SPEAK SPANISH PREFERRED.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree or higher or two years of college (72 quarter credits) or qualifying ParaPro/Pearson tests.
• Criminal background check is required.

183 day working calendar

Shift: 9:05am - 4:10pm Shift subject to change.

Location: Einstein Elementary (located within the Redmond Learning Community)

Hourly Rate

$27.71/an hour (SC11SEIU26-27.pdf) Position is eligible for membership in the Service International Employees Union No. 925

This position is posted in accordance with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Collective Bargaining Agreement transfer process outlined in Section 15.9 The position will be posted internally for five (5) workdays. The internal posting will close on Thursday, July 30th, 2026.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire.
