About the Role

The Instructional Assistant will assist licensed staff with instructional and supportive tasks, provide one-on-one and small group tutoring, and supervise students during class time, lunch, and recess. This position includes preparing instructional materials, maintaining records, grading assignments, and supporting the use of classroom technology. Instructional Assistants are expected to contribute positively to staff meetings, demonstrate professional behavior, respect student confidentiality, and adapt to the changing needs of students and teachers. A strong commitment to ethical standards, district policies, and creating a safe, inclusive environment is essential.

Position Title

Position Title: Instructional Assistant (SSR)

Placement: White Mountain Middle School, White City, Oregon

Supervisor: Principal

Contract Days: 182 days per year / 7 hours per day

Salary Range: $17.54 - $24.93 per hour, depending upon verified previous full-time experience in a similar position

Position will begin November 9, 2026, with screening to begin immediately.

Salary listed indicates current 2023-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement - subject to change
