The Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking two full‑time Instructional Assistants (IA) assigned to Burke Town School. Positions are available for the 2026‑2027 school year, working in classrooms ranging from early elementary to middle school (ages 5‑14). Candidates should be energetic, enjoy working with children, and be a positive member of a school community.
The IAs will provide care and support for children to promote academic, social, emotional and behavioral growth. Ideal candidates have experience serving children with special learning needs or who need support in acquiring independent educational skills. They will work closely with classroom teachers and special‑education case managers under the direction of the school administrator and the Director of Student Services. The role includes supporting specialized instruction and other student supports as assigned.
Requirements: Must successfully complete the ParaPro assessment or hold a higher degree. Successful background check, including fingerprinting, will be required upon employment. Pay range $18.50–$25.34/hour. Full‑time position starting Aug 10 2026.
Minimum qualifications: High school or trade school degree preferred. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
