Job summary

Responsive Education Solutions is seeking a Title I Instructional Aide to support teachers with focused, accelerated instruction and to help the campus achieve its goals.

Required: High School Diploma or GED; Texas Instructional Aide Certificate or eligibility to obtain one; and either an Associate’s degree or 48 college credits. Spanish language ability is a plus, with strong English communication and collaboration with students, families, and staff.

• One of: an Associate's degree or 48 college credits.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups on instructional activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly workspace.
• Assist in supervising students during the school day as needed.
• Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required.
• Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned.
• Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations.
• Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certification and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Instructional Aide Certificate or ability to obtain upon hire
• Must meet 1 of the 2 following criteria: Associate's degree, OR 48 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher learning

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Ability to work well with children, parents, and school staff
• Ability to use/learn basic computer applications
• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English
• Ability to speak Spanish (preferred)

Equipment Used

• Regular use of complex machines and equipment (desktop/laptop computer and software, presentation equipment, copy machines, etc.)
• Intermediate skill in Data Entry, Database, Presentation, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
• Google suite of applications
• Video conferencing technology

Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem-solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).

Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
