Job description

There is an immediate need for an Instructional Aide in N502 - Advanced Physiology and Pathophysiology Across the Lifespan for the Fall 2025 term. Work may include, but is not limited to, reading assigned materials weekly and grading the following: group discussions (for participation points), papers (using provided grading rubrics), computing and reporting test scores, grading weekly assignments, quizzes, mid-terms, and final exams.

Assist with the following:

• Answer student emails regarding administrative issues.
• Help students with CANVAS, course setup, access to course materials, and organization of materials, etc.
• Respond to emails and questions related to Instructional Aide duties (above and below).
• Research course development related to grading tools, assessment methods, and rubrics based on faculty objectives.
• Assist with test preparation and the creation of instructional materials, with an understanding of the course content.
• Counsel students regarding examinations, papers, and coursework.
• Proctor exams.
• Administer and grade examinations using rubrics.
• Attend and assist with facilitating meetings with student groups on group activities and projects.
• Teach or assist in teaching courses under supervision.
• Provide laboratory or clinical demonstrations.
• Lead laboratory and recitation sections.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) are required. Proven attention to detail, adaptability, and strong organizational skills are essential.
