Job summary

Copper Country Intermediate School District in L’Anse, Michigan is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students with diverse learning needs. You’ll provide personalized assistance to help students succeed academically and socially in a nurturing, inclusive classroom.

This full-time, school-year position offers starting pay of $18.00 per hour, a $500 semester bonus for those in special education classrooms, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older and a high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or two years post-secondary education in a related teaching/special education field of study a bonus.
• Experience working with individuals with special needs helpful.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others.
• Flexibility to work with a team to assist students inside or outside of the classroom and may include supporting as a bus aide.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• A desire to continually increase your knowledge and an unrelenting ability to make positive change in the lives of students.

• Assist teachers, therapists, and other staff in classroom and school settings.
