Job summary

Inova Kellar Center in Northern Virginia is seeking an Instructional Aide to join our team. This full-time day-shift position runs 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and supports the learning environment under the direction of a teacher.

You will present teacher-prepared lessons to small groups or individuals, assist with records, supervise the classroom, and help prepare instructional materials. Minimum 1 year of experience with children in group settings is preferred; RBT certification is a plus and BCBA

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working with children in a group setting.

Responsibilities

• Present teacher-prepared lessons to small groups or individuals.
• Assist with organization of special education records and documentation of IEP progress.
• Supervise the classroom in the absence of the teacher.
• Perform clerical tasks to support the teacher.
• Prepare instructional materials for student use.
• Maintain an effective learning environment through supervision and behavior intervention.
