Job summary

BlazerJobs, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support behavioral needs for elementary students in a dynamic school environment.

This full-time contract runs through June 2027, with placement determined after interview to best match your skills. You will join an ABA team, implementing behavior plans, supporting instruction, and collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to foster a positive, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of hands-on behavioral support experience, especially in a school setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a RIDE-approved Teacher Assistant Training Program (unless exempt via advanced degree).
  • One of: ParaPathways Assessment scores, 48+ college credits, or an Associates degree or higher.
  • Completion of a National BCI is strongly preferred for faster onboarding.
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing classroom needs.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting implementation of ABA strategies, behavior plans, and instructional tasks.
  • Partnering with teachers, therapists, and other classroom staff.
  • Providing 1:1 or small group assistance to students, fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Documenting student progress and supporting communication with families as needed.

Job description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a dedicated Paraprofessional supporting behavioral needs in a dynamic school environment. Full-time contract opportunities are currently available, with positions set to run through June 2027. Youll play a crucial role on an ABA team, making a daily impact and collaborating alongside experienced educators. Your assignment will be determined post-interview, ensuring the best match for your skills and interests.

Bring your behavioral support expertise and commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom. You will work with elementary-aged students, supporting instructional activities and behavioral interventions aligned to classroom and individual plans.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • At least one year of hands-on behavioral support experience, especially in a school setting.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a RIDE-approved Teacher Assistant Training Program (unless exempt via advanced degree).
  • One of the following academic requirements: passing ParaPathways Assessment scores (332+ Reading/Writing, 334+ Math), OR 48+ college credits, OR an Associates degree or higher.
  • Completion of a National BCI is strongly preferred for faster onboarding.
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing classroom needs.

Key responsibilities include:
