WHARTON ISD seeks a dedicated instructional aide to support students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom, under a certified teacher's direction.
You will assist with IEP implementation, self-help tasks, behavior support, and instructional activities, while helping prepare materials, manage records, and supervise during transitions.
Help meet physical and instructional needs of individual students with disabilities inside and outside classroom. Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP), including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.

High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas educational aide certificate
NCLB Criteria (2 years of study at an institution of higher education; an Associate Degree or higher; or can pass a formal academic paraprofessional assessment)
Ability to work with children with disabilities
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to communicate effectively
Some experience working with children
Assist teacher/administrator in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Other Instructional Support Duties as assigned.
