Job summary

Wings Learning Center in California is seeking a Classroom Assistant to support teachers across elementary, middle, and secondary students. The role involves collaborating with Education Specialists, Occupational and Speech Therapists and administrative staff to implement curriculum and classroom activities.

The position requires completing 48 college units or a high school diploma with Wings Learning Center assessment; experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Completion of 48 units of higher education OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) and completion of Wings Learning Center Assessment.
• Experience preferred but not necessary; training will be provided.

About Wings Learning Center

Wings Learning Center was created in 2001 with the mission of providing a learning environment where students with Autism Spectrum Disorder can be inspired towards personal growth and to learn at their own pace. We are a specialized school licensed by the California Department of Education to serve students ages 5 to 22 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental learning differences. About the Role

Responsibilities

To assist the teacher in the classroom working with Elementary, Middle School, and Secondary students. Our model is collaborative with Education Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and an engaged administrative support team. Assist in preparing and implementing curriculum, supporting students using positive behavior interventions, recording data regarding behaviors including Individual Education Plan goals, and participate in classroom meetings and activity preparation.

Qualifications

Completion of 48 units of higher education OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) and completion of Wings Learning Center Assessment.

Experience preferred but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate!

Compensation details
