Description: Our client is currently seeking an Instructional Aide - Elementary School for the remainder of the school year!

Job Title: Instructional Aide

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:50am-3:50pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Type: Open-Ended Contract (W2, Weekly Pay, Benefits Available)

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructions to individuals or small groups in areas such as cognitive skills, motor skills, feeding, self-help, and behavior management, as directed by the teacher.
• Assist students with personal hygiene tasks, including washing, toileting, and changing diapers or clothes.
• Monitor and manage student behavior following established guidelines.
• Support physical development activities with specialists.
• Prepare students for mainstream classes following procedures.
• Attend training sessions related to medical interventions and instructional programs.
• Assist students with orthopedic equipment like braces, including lifting and repositioning.
• Help maintain records of student progress.
• Implement positive behavior intervention policies.
• Collaborate with case workers, teachers, and staff as needed.
• Assist students with social interactions.
• Work both cooperatively and independently when required.
• Ensure health and safety of students with physical disabilities by being vigilant.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• First Aid Certificate including CPR
• TB test clearance
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance
• Reliable transportation (car)
