Job summary

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is seeking a recently graduated librarian to join our instructional faculty as a non-tenure-track member. You will teach LS101 and provide information literacy instruction both online and in person, while designing shared curriculum and assessments.

You will also perform reference and research services and collaborate with the outreach team to promote resources and support student success. This role supports ongoing professional growth in academic librarianship.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program or foreign equivalent, or will complete by hire date.
• Minimum of one semester of teaching or bibliographic instruction experience, or recent coursework in instructional methodology.
• Experience designing engaging instruction, developing curriculum, and teaching online or in-person environments.
• Ability to create course-integrated library instruction and learning materials.

Responsibilities

• Teach LS101 core information literacy course and course-integrated instruction sessions, online and in the classroom.
• Provide reference and research services to students and faculty.
• Collaborate with outreach to promote library information resources and student success.
• Design shared curriculum and assignments, updating student learning outcomes.
