Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Library Aide to support the daily activities of a general and law library for an inmate population. The role involves helping manage catalog systems, scheduling access, and enforcing library policies to maintain a safe environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, at least two years of library-related experience, and a valid driver’s license; applicants must be at least 18 years old. CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace and EOE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Two years library work experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining library catalog system and categories.
• Create schedules for inmate access and enforce library rules for safety and order.
• Search catalogs and reference materials to aid inmates in locating materials.
• Train inmate workers in shelving, check-in/check-out, and material handling.
• Maintain tracking system for book locations and conduct inventories.
