Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food preparation, particularly in an institutional setting.
• Ability to prepare and serve meals per approved menus from a Registered Dietician.
• Familiarity with USDA meal requirements for adults.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: follow recipes and meal plans for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: maintain kitchen hygiene and sanitize equipment.
• Inventory Management: track ingredients and report low stock.
• Collaboration: coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meals.
• Customer Service: interact with staff and residents to accommodate dietary needs.
• Record Keeping: log temperatures and document food usage and waste.
• Flexibility: work a full-time schedule including weekends and holidays in line with health regulations.
