An established community-based organization is seeking a passionate Institutional Giving Manager to join their Development & Communications team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for crafting and managing strategies to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. You'll collaborate closely with the Chief Development Officer and other team members to achieve fundraising targets that directly contribute to the mission of supporting over 600 children and families in Southeast DC. Horton’s Kids operates three Community Resource Centers, each playing a vital role in our mission. At the heart of our operations is Horton’s Kids Community Resource Hub or “Horton’s Hub”, serving as our largest location and headquarters. This multifunctional space serves as both our administrative offices and the central hub for our programming and distribution efforts.
Job Description: Horton’s Kids is seeking a dedicated and dynamic full-time Institutional Giving Manager to enhance our Development & Communications team. The Institutional Giving Manager plays a crucial role on the Development & Communications team and is responsible for crafting, executing, and managing strategies to secure, retain, and grow funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. The Manager will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and other team members to achieve fundraising targets and contribute to the organization’s mission.
Qualifications:
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 annually, based on experience.

Remote Work Opportunity: C urrently, Horton’s Kids administrative staff work remotely two days per week. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays are mandatory days in the office at our facility at 2233 Hunter Place SE.
