Iowa National Guard is seeking a Food Service Operations supervisor to oversee procurement, meal prep, serving, and delivery within a correctional setting. The role also includes direct supervision and training of incarcerated individuals to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient food service operations.

The position requires adherence to local/state food codes, maintaining sanitation, supervising staff, and generating reports consistent with the Food Service Director’s guidance.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of full-time work experience in mass food production in a commercial, military, hospital, or institutional food services setting.
• Two years of education and/or full-time experience (thirty semester hours of accredited college/university coursework in dietetics, nutrition, food management or closely related equals one year of experience).
• Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes one year of full-time work as a Cook 1, Cook 2, or Baker.

Aufgaben

• Ingredient Procurement, order, receive and issue food service supplies and maintain inventories.
• Meal Preparation: slice, chop, and assemble ingredients following recipes and sanitation standards.
• Meal Serving: verify portions, ensure consistency, and maintain cleanliness.
• Food Delivery: transport food and trays while maintaining sanitation and safety.
• Direct supervision of incarcerated individuals in food service operations and training.
• Documentation and reporting using required systems and following policy.
