Job summary

BBVA in New York is seeking an onboarding coordinator to manage end-to-end processes for institutional clients. You will liaise with Global Bankers, Compliance, Operations and KYC teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience, handling documentation, ownership structures, and timelines.

The role emphasizes coordinating across multiple teams, maintaining client service standards, and driving process improvements to shorten turnaround times. Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in client onboarding, lifecycle management, KYC coordination, or related roles within Corporate & Investment Banking or Financial Institutions.
• Experience working with bankers and institutional clients in fast-paced environments.
• Strong understanding of onboarding workflows and coordination across Banking, Compliance, Operations and KYC teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for new and existing institutional clients across sectors.
• Work with Global Bankers to initiate and manage onboarding requests for a smooth process.
• Serve as primary contact between Global Bankers, clients, and onboarding teams (COD).
• Collect, validate, and follow up on required documentation for onboarding.
• Manage client ownership structures and group hierarchies in risk systems.
• Provide visibility on onboarding status, pending items, and milestones.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Operations and KYC to resolve onboarding queries.
• Monitor pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and escalate when needed to meet timelines.
• Ensure requests comply with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high client service standards and contribute to a seamless onboarding experience.
