Job summary

The Oregon State Hospital, under the Oregon Health Authority, seeks two Institution Teacher MA positions for its Junction City, Oregon campus. You will deliver education aimed at helping patients transition back into the community, using assessment-driven and student-centered approaches during recovery.

Responsibilities include individualized instruction, collaboration with support staff when present, and developing education plans tailored to each patient’s goals, while maintaining a low-stress

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an Oregon approved teacher education program is required.
• Ability to obtain an Oregon teaching license/certificate by time of appointment.
• Experience with educational instruction for adults and in locked institutional settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized, student-centered learning objectives.
• Provide assessment-driven instruction to help patients pursue education during recovery.
• Coordinate four-to-six hours of classroom instruction per day with one-on-one support.
