Job summary

HouseSmart Construction is seeking an Installer I for an outdoor, hands-on role with our Clayton Homes division. You will join a crew to support site preparation, material handling, and on-site tasks across multiple homes.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. You should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and using basic hand/power tools. This full-time position offers weekly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Enjoys hands-on outdoor work.
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl under homes, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Positive attitude and a team player.
• Familiarity with hand/power tools (hammers, levels, drills, impact wrench) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team to assist the Crew Chief and crew.
• Remove protective shipping wrap from homes under guidance.
• Remove and store exterior items like shingles under supervision.
• Assist with lifting and moving tires, axles, and tongues up to 50 lbs.
• Travel to home sites to support construction activities.
• Load/unload materials and keep tools/trucks organized.
• Assist installer with vapor barriers under the home.
• Gather materials for piers and assist in building them.
• Perform masonry work underneath homes.

HouseSmart Construction – Installer I

Are you looking for a hands‑on, outdoor position? If so, this might be the role for you!

We are looking for someone with a can‑do attitude that wants to learn and grow in the construction industry! No experience is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work as a team player by helping the Crew Chief and team
• Remove protective shipping wrap from home – our team will show you the best ways to do this
• Remove and properly store exterior use items like shingles under the leadership of our experienced team members
• Work with the team to help remove tires, axles, and tongues which can weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Travel to each home site and assist the team necessary construction activities
• Load and unload materials, and keeping the tools & trucks organized
• Help installer vapor barriers beneath the home
• Gather materials for beginning piers and help build them
• Masonry work underneath the homes

When You’ll Be Doing It

• Full‑time, Monday through Friday

Pay

• Paid weekly
• $17.00/hr+ based on experience
