Job summary

Swift Supply is seeking a Door and Window Installer to join our Install department. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring and fitting door/window components, and delivering quality installations for customers.

You will work hourly, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and timely completion. Prior millwork/window experience is preferred, and you must be able to lift and handle materials as needed.

Qualifications

Purpose of Position

Install doors and windows for customers ensuring the final part of the sale is done efficiently and properly. Through quality of work and professionalism, be a source of repeat and referral business to grow the installation business.

Essential Functions

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine the scope of work.


• Measure and cut materials with precision to ensure proper fit and alignment.


• Install components using appropriate tools and techniques.


• Conduct on-site adjustments and modifications as needed to achieve desired results.


• Collaborate with managers and customers to understand installation requirements and project timelines.


• Follow-up with sales team, managers, and customers to ensure efficient workflow and overall customer satisfaction.


• Maintain accurate records and ensure all work orders and administrative tasks are completed timely.


• Inspect materials for quality, damage, or discrepancies, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.


• Collaborate effectively with sales team and to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction


• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe storage practices. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.


• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude and provide exceptional customer service skills while servicing customers.

Experience And Education

• 1-year experience installing millwork, doors, and windows.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to type, handle or feel objects.


• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull, maximum lift 100 lbs.


• Must be able to see within normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses.


• Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively.


• Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination.


• Must regularly be able to reach overhead.


• Must regularly be able to sit, squat, bend, twist, and stand.


• Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally.


• Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with manual dexterity.

Working Conditions

• Work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.


• Work with mechanical equipment and hand tools on a daily basis.
