Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment, Inc in Eagan, MN is seeking a hands-on technician to inspect, repair, and assemble light- and heavy-duty trucks. You will work from prints, use mechanical aptitude to devise solutions, and ensure an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, welding and fabricating as needed, and keeping shop equipment safe.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading and writing skills are required.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and perform basic math.
• Experience with cranes and hoists is preferred.
• Experience with power tools and machinery is required or preferred.
• Auto mechanical experience is a plus, welding/hydraulic/electrical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, service, and build light- to heavy-duty trucks per prints and instructions.
• Install and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on projects.
• Perform welding and fabrication to build or modify components per specifications.
• Maintain shop equipment for safe operation.
• Complete repairs and replace malfunctioning parts to restore operation.

Position

Perform any and all tasks related to inspecting, repairing, servicing, and building various types of light duty and/or heavy-duty trucks. This requires the ability to work from prints and instructions as well as use mechanical aptitude to create solutions. This position is also responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble various truck components to specification per customer requirements.
• Install and/or maintain all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on assigned projects and builds.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks in order to build, modify, and follow specifications.
• Maintain shop equipment for safe use in operation.
• Complete repairs and replace malfunctioning parts to return working operation of truck components.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma or Experience.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and have basic math knowledge.
