Carter Lumber is seeking an Installed Sales Construction Project Manager to oversee Multi-Family projects in NE Ohio. The role bridges office and field to keep production accurate and timely, working with the Field Superintendent to align strategic direction for installed projects.

The candidate will review plans, manage schedules, track budgets, and coordinate subcontracting and material deliveries, ensuring smooth handoffs with sales and adherence to contract scope.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial Multi‑Family construction project management.
• Solid understanding of Job Site Management processes and construction assembly.
• Observes safety procedures and practices.
• Understands contracts and change management.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Review plans, specs, and project schedule.
• Create a schedule of values with the customer.
• Review take-off quantities and order deliveries.
• Submit submittals for orders and approvals.
• Arrange labor subcontracting and labor sourcing.
• Procure materials and notify Field Superintendent of arrivals.
• Issue change orders when needed.
• Monitor field reports and safety meetings.
• Track progression and budgets.
• Submit pay applications and requests per contracts.
• Attend jobsite meetings with customer and trades.
• Coordinate project handoffs with sales and review scope for accuracy.

A Carter Lumber Installed Sales ConstructionProject Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and management for Multi-Family installed jobs. This is accomplished by keeping lines of communication and information open between the office and the field to ensure production is accurate and timely. Works closely with the Field Superintendent to determine the strategic direction of an installed Multi‑Family project. Effective communication with the field and internal departments are mandatory for the success of this position.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial Multi‑Family construction project management
• Solid understanding of Job Site Management processes and construction assembly
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices
• Solid comprehension of all working aspects of contracts including changes to build out processes and schedules
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of PlanSwift Software is a plus
• This position will be servicing the NE Ohio areas

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly review all plans, specifications, and project schedule.
• Create a mutually agreed upon schedule of values between Carter Lumber and customer.
• Reviewtake-off to ensure correct quantities and product are ordered and delivered at the appropriate time.
• Send and track submittals for all product until approved for order.
• Obtain labor source and execute Carter Lumber approved labor sub‑contract.
• Procure material and advise Field Superintendent of arrival dates.
• Provide customer change orders when necessary.
• Review Field Superintendent daily reports and weekly safety meetings
• Track job Progression and monitor project budgets
• Submit pay applications per contract documents with customer.
• Submit and approve pay requests on behalf of sub‑contract labor.
• Attend jobsite meetings with customer and other trades as needed
• Set up initial meeting with customer prior to performing scope.
• Attend hand off meetings will sales team to accept new projects
• Review contract scope of work and schedule for accuracy of what is being provided and that durations for installation are acceptable
