Installation Technician/Stagehand

Location: Winter Haven, FL (must be local to Central Florida)

Position Summary:

The Installation Technician/Stagehand position requires basic experience with installation projects in the entertainment industry. Responsibilities include moving and installing materials, attaching décor, running power, and assisting other departments as needed.

Essential Duties:

• Install haunt/holiday audio, lighting, and animatronics for large seasonal events
• Support rigging and lighting teams in suspending and powering décor
• Work efficiently to deliver a high-quality final event

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Vocational or technical training in welding, engineering, rigging, carpentry, electronics, audio, construction, or electrician. Experience in technical theatre, audio, lighting, electronics, rigging, welding, carpentry, or design is beneficial. Past haunt experience is a plus.

Experience:

1 to 2 years in the technical entertainment field.

Licensure or Certification:

• Valid driver’s license required
• OSHA and similar safety certifications are helpful

• Knowledge of theatrical spaces, rigging, lighting, audio, cabling, carpentry, electrical work, and reading construction or design drawings

• Awareness of safety hazards and risk mitigation

Work Environment:

On-site work may involve exposure to weather, working at heights over 50 feet, heavy equipment, and chemicals. Conditions can be hot, cold, rainy, or snowy.

Physical Effort:

Frequent handling of heavy objects (50-75 lbs.), operating heavy tools and equipment, standing, kneeling, and bending.

Salary:

$200/day
