  • 1–2 years carpentry/construction experience, including light electrical work, preferred.
  • 1–2 years installing durable medical equipment (stairlifts, automobile lifts) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and install home medical and accessibility equipment throughout the assigned service territory.
  • Demonstrate and explain equipment to clients and obtain required documentation.
  • Perform equipment service requests and participate in rotational on-call weekend service.
  • Repair equipment in the field and warehouse.
  • Load and unload company vehicles.
  • Inspect incoming warehouse deliveries for accuracy and damage.
  • Record client complaints and assist with follow-up.
  • Maintain company vehicles, supplies, warehouse cleanliness, and organization.
  • Complete bi-weekly truck inventories and assist with warehouse inventory.
  • Participate in training, company meetings, committees, and authorized inspections when requested.
  • Report equipment hazards, product incidents, misconduct, suspicious activity, or unethical conduct in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Field Operations.

Job description

Altamira Ltd. is seeking a full-time Installation Technician in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Installation Technician is responsible for the delivery, assembly, installation, service, and client education of home accessibility equipment, including stairlifts, patient lifts, automobile lifts, wheelchair ramps, wheelchair lifts, and related mobility equipment.

The position serves Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and West Virginia and may require occasional overnight travel and rotational on-call weekend service.

Key responsibilities include:

Regularly standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing; using hands to operate vehicles and equipment; occasionally lifting or moving up to 80 pounds; and possessing the visual abilities necessary to perform the position safely.
