Job summary

California Closets in Linthicum, MD is seeking an Installation Tech to install custom‑designed residential storage systems and accessories using luxury materials. A successful candidate will have experience with hand and power tools, measurements, and exceptional customer service.

The role includes reading CAD drawings/blueprints, installing systems, and assisting with various installation tasks. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm, with a pay rate of $25/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with common hand and power tools.
• Cabinetry or carpentry skills are desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems in homes or commercial spaces.
• Utilize CAD drawings/blueprints to install systems accurately.
• Assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
• Assist in removal and installation of materials at client sites.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order.
• Install systems independently or with a team when needed.
• Provide high level of customer service during in-home installations.
• Maintain safety standards at all times.
• Travel to and from customer sites using company vehicle.

The Installation Tech installs custom designed residential storage systems and accessories using a variety of luxury materials. A successful candidate will have experience with hand and power tools, measurements and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

Job Highlights:

• We're located on 611 Hammonds Ferry Road, Space A-D, Linthicum, MD.
• The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm.
• The pay for this position is $25/hr based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in the home or commercial buildings.
• Utilize company-provided CAD drawings\blueprints to install systems properly and efficiently.
• Assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
• Assists in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes.
• Maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order(tools are provided).
• Install systems independently or with team members depending on the size of the job.
• Provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations.
• Maintain safety standards at all times.
• Responsible for driving to and from customer sites and operating a company-provided vehicles in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience with common hand and power tools
• Cabinetry or carpentry skills desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Able to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch
